Description
Raw (Black gum) Tupelo honey is harvested during the springtime from the swamps of North Florida. Tupelo honey is a premium priced rare honey known for its distinct taste. The honey is lightly strained to remove any particles, but never filtered, therefore leaving all the goodness inside (vitamins, minerals, enzymes, bee pollen). Tupelo honey has a sweet balanced flavor, light amber in color, (with a greenish tinge) and a thick consistency and tends to stay in a liquid state longer than most other honey varieties.
Tupelo honey is a difficult honey to produce. The season is short and often affected by inclement weather. This is why Tupelo honey cost more than most other honey varieties. We currently have a very limited supply.
Tupelo honey taste great on its own or added to your favorite herbal tea or beverage.
